Sandra Jordaan

I am an ex-yachtie who loves sharing what I have learnt in my career with my clients. After over ten years in the industry as a Purser and Chief Stew, I have seen and experienced it all (the great and the downright awful) and mentored many crew along the way.

I wanted to be a Purser from the very beginning of my career but had no-one to tell me the exact steps I needed to take to get there. With much persistence and perseverance, it took me over seven years to land my first Purser gig onboard a prestigious 91m yacht. Like everyone in life, I made some costly mistakes in my career. I have been fired. I have resigned when maybe it would have looked better on my CV if I stuck it out. I have stuck it out when I probably should have resigned. My attitude to this is: "you win or you learn, there is no such thing as losing".

The Yacht Crew Coach has been a few years in the making. I wanted to share my knowledge and experience with fellow crew to help them not make the same mistakes I did. I have invested thousands of dollars in my own training to be able to do this. The Core 100 Life Coach training I did with Tony Robbins as one of her teachers has enabled me to navigate through the most difficult year of my life (2018) with a smile on my face.

Through all my trials and tribulations, I discovered the secret to having a successful yachting career. I help crew discover their unique strengths, build their confidence and achieve their yachting goals like she did.
